A message to all my group members, past and customers to date.

As of now I will not be accepting any commission painting work as I am beginning a process of preparing paintings for an additional market and an upcoming show. This is a lengthy process as I must create a large group of spec paintings in different sizes and shapes. I will be posting them on my blog as usual they will be for sale as in the past, just no time for specific commissions.

Kitten in Box – This was an enjoyable painting to do as I’ve raised many kittens in my lifetime. Some could while away hours in and around a milk carton or paper bag. Opal – We adopted Opal in about 1996. She was sitting up on the spa having a conversation with me while I soaked when she spotted a bird. I hope I’ve captured the expression correctly. Who says you can’t paint expressions on animal’s faces. Opal disappeared mysteriously about a year after we got her. It’s to bad as she was really cute. Your comments are welcome.

Longhaired Dachshund – You will see this Dauxie frequently at our local coffee shop in Sacramento. Although I’ve never spoken to the people that bring her, I don’t think they would mind my using her for a model for this 8 x 10 Oil. In the past I’ve tried painting a couple of Dachshunds. One came out great and the other not so good. I’d like your opinions on this one if you would. Your comments are always welcome.
