Humming bird on wire – I’ve seen many of these little birds painted while in flight, so I wanted to do something a little different, sitting still. Their feathers have an almost transparent quality that was difficult to put on canvas. It took several layers of different shades of color and hopefully you will agree with me that it turned out OK.
