White Throated Sparrow - I've rarely used the knife to apply paint to canvas so this was almost something new for me and here I used it very sparingly. I like the results, however haven't decided if I will use it in the future. Your comments are welcome.

Baby Oriole - I grew up seeing these birds every summer as they are native to the east and midwest. Now that I've been on the west coast for more than 30 years I haven't seen any since the 70s. They are colored with brilliant orange and black plumage. Your comments are welcome

Humming Bird on Wire - Oil on 8 x 10 Canvas Panel

Humming bird on wire – I’ve seen many of these little birds painted while in flight, so I wanted to do something a little different, sitting still. Their feathers have an almost transparent quality that was difficult to put on canvas. It took several layers of different shades of color and hopefully you will agree with me that it turned out OK. Your comments are welcome.
