Wind and Surf - An exercise in the creation of movement on a two dimensional surface. It's not as easy as one would think.Watch the wind blow the mist off the whitecaps. The Boat Race - I've taken a week or more off from painting due to being under the weather and am feeling better now. We like to travel to friendly exotic places and don't get a chance to do it often enough, one reason being the current economy and the other now being on a fixed income. I don't remember where we were, however I think it was on Maui some years ago when this scene popped up in my camera and I snapped it. I've always liked the look of it and today did something about it. The balmy air and blue skies are typical of what I saw that day and still remember. Your comments are welcome.

Morning at Gold Beach - I took a number of pictures several years ago in November while in the Gold Beach, Oregon area. It was cold, windy and mostly overcast, a perfect day for a walk on the beach. This is a painting is of one of that day's pictures. I attempted to paint it with all cool tones to reflect the day. Your comments are welcome.
