At the Sacramento Food Bank - Several mornings ago I responded to a televised plea from the Sacramento Food Bank for turkeys for the homeless and needy. They had a goal of 500 for the day. I was there at about 6:00 AM or so and was one of the first 20 or so to donate. On the way there I spotted several homeless, cold and I presume hungry, people huddled on a bench. This resembles one of them. Such character in their faces. The last time I watched the news that day the food bank had collected almost 3000 turkeys for the needy, a tribute to Sacramento, CA.
