Light from Above - Presenting a figure under a ceiling light requires a different set of lights and darks to accomplish a realistic look than light from either side requires. I also wanted to accomplish sort of an old world look. Your comments are welcome.

Girl in Light - I haven't painted figures in some time and have missed doing them. Here is a figure study of light from above. I recently, I'm not sure when as someone sent it to me in the past and now I can't find it, saw this picture of a girl putting her top on in wonderful light. Old Stoneware Jug - I was rummaging around the garage the other day and ran across this old stoneware jug. I thought it would make a good painting subject. It just needed something else so I added the old standby; fruit.... I also attempted to brighten up the painting compared to some of my recent efforts. Your comments are welcome.
