Buffalo Frost - I deliberated some time on just what to call this piece. I've seen and taken pictures of scenes just like this many times when I traveled just to make a living. This is typical of the prairies of the Dakotas, Wyoming, Nebraska and Kansas. The ground is frozen, it’s snowing, yet the sun is peeking out just enough to slightly warm the scene. It's so cold that the morning frost has frozen on the buffalo's coat in places. They snort steam from their nostrils and try to feed on what frozen prairie grass remains. Somehow they survive.
