Homeless Woman – I’ve put together another imaginary person from several of what appeared to be homeless subjects I observed last Saturday in mid town Sacramento, CA. The homeless, like Native Americans, have sometimes almost unimaginable character in their rugged faces. I love the challenge of capturing that character on canvas. This is also my first attempt at painting a person of African American decent. I tried to master the skin tones on another canvas prior to starting this painting. I’d be interested in your comments.
